Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

The short version

We collect your email address when you ask for a free resource. We use it to send you the file and, if you agree, occasional emails with articles, new free resources and any paid products we launch. We don't sell your data. You can unsubscribe in one click, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Who we are

Eddie Gear (“we”, “us”) is based in India. This policy covers eddiegear.com, the forms on it, the emails we send, and our free downloads.

Contact: email us. Our mailing address is in the footer of every email we send.

2. What we collect

We don't ask for sensitive personal data. Please don't send it to us.

4. Our emails

If you agree, you'll get occasional emails from us about articles, new free resources and, if we launch them, paid products and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all marketing emails. We may still send a message about something you've asked for or bought.

We don't add you to our email list unless you tick the box and, where we use double opt-in, confirm by email. We don't buy or rent email lists.

5. Who we share data with

We use service providers who process data on our behalf, and only to provide their service to us: Kit (our email service, based in the United States), Hostinger (our website hosting) and Google Analytics 4 (website analytics, from Google). If we start selling products, we will add our payment provider here before we do.

We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights. If the business changes hands, data may transfer to the new owner, and we'll tell you. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't share it for other companies' marketing.

6. International transfers

We are in India. Kit and Google are based in the United States, and our hosting may be in another country. Your data may be processed outside your country. Where the law requires it, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to move it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email us. We'll reply within one month, or sooner if the law says so. We may need to confirm it's really you.

If you're in the EU or UK, you can complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in India, you can contact our grievance contact below first, and then the Data Protection Board of India once its complaint process applies to you. If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.

9. Grievance contact

Email us with the subject “Privacy grievance”. This is our grievance contact for India and everywhere else. We'll acknowledge your message promptly and respond within the time the law requires.

10. Children

Our resources and emails are for adults. They are not for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are used. It sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) only after you choose “Accept analytics” on our banner. If you decline, we set no analytics cookies and load no analytics script. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the site footer.

We have turned off Google's advertising features and we don't use this data for advertising. The site also stores your cookie choice on your device. That doesn't track you.

13. Files you download

The PDFs, spreadsheets and templates you download from us don't collect or send data. Whatever you type into them stays in your own copy. Their terms are in the Notice and Terms of Use included in each file.

14. Links to other sites

Our pages and emails may link to other sites. We don't control them, and this policy doesn't cover them.

15. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, such as when we start selling products, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it applies, and we'll ask for your consent again where the law requires it.

16. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data: email us.
